The busy person’s guide to giving back to the Charlotte community this season
Every year it seems like we wait until the holidays to think about giving back. No matter if its donating money or donating your time, there’s plenty of easy ways that you can support the Charlotte community by doing GOOD this year.
Sallie and Alicia sat down to chat with SHARE Charlotte Marketing Director and #GivingTuesdayCLT Campaign Manager, Melissa Hovey, to learn more about how and why you should give back this season — even if you’re crazy busy.

November 20: Take a Class Tuesday

November 21: Wet Your Whistle Wednesday
Visit a Charlotte brewery that is giving back to a local nonprofit. There’s nothing better than drinking a brew for GOOD.
November 22: Don’t Be a Turkey, Give Your Time
Today’s the day to pledge volunteer time with your favorite nonprofit. Check out givingtuesdayclt.org to choose one of the hundreds of local nonprofits who need your help.
November 23: Follow Friday
All you need is your phone for this day. Spread awareness of your favorite nonprofit by a simple follow, or by liking their posts or sharing their message on social media.
November 24: Small Business Saturday
Head on over to South End to shop local. Many Charlotte small businesses will be giving back to their favorite nonprofit. Plus, you can shop for early Christmas presents. Sounds like a win to us.
November 25: Tailgate for GOOD
Support the Carolina Panthers today by attending the Roaring Riot Tailgate or by attending a watch party where proceeds benefit a local nonprofit.
November 26: Cyber Monday, Shop for GOOD
Browse online and promote shopping for GOOD off of your favorite nonprofit’s Give Shop Wish List or Amazon Wish List.
November 27: #GivingTuesdayCLT
Get loud about #GivingTuesdayCLT on your company’s social media platforms and help spread the word. You’ll also be able to come out to Wells Fargo Atrium from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. for a variety of local celebrations.
