South Block is an açaí, smoothie, and juice café rooted in fresh flavors, feel-good food, and community connection, now opening its first location outside the DMV and debuting its first Southern concept at The Bowl at Ballantyne.
South Block was founded by Amir Mostafavi, who opened his first juice bar while at George Washington University. In 2011, he launched the first South Block in Arlington, Virginia, inspired by the “south block” of the street. From that modest start, the brand quickly grew, bringing handcrafted açaí bowls, smoothies, and cold-pressed juices to more communities. South Block has stayed true to its mission of delivering fresh flavors, wellness, and good vibes, creating spaces where people can refuel, recharge, and connect.
Black Wednesday is working with the South Block team to create a launch strategy that includes public relations, cross-brand promotional opportunities, reporting, and new restaurant opening support and execution.
