CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The co-founders of the Rally pickleball club have tapped a prominent local chef to open an adjacent restaurant.

Rally, located on Southside Drive in Lower South End, will partner with Chef Andres Kaifer, owner of Customshop and Marina’s Tapas at Optimist Hall. Founders Meg Charity and Barrett Worthington say the team plans to open the business, which has yet to be named, this summer.

“We started Rally to foster community in Charlotte,” said Worthington, “We love the social aspect of food and this restaurant will help us share our passion for cultivating community, similar to the energy felt at Rally every day. Andres’s incredible talent and expertise alongside our personal love for Customshop made the choice to work with him clear.”
