La Belle Helene, a new upscale French brasserie, is set to open its doors later this summer at 300 S. Tryon in Uptown. And it’s going to be very, very good looking.
More commonly known by the owners as “LBH”, this new eatery plans to stay true to an authentic French ambiance. The restaurant will present a modern take on traditional French dishes.
LBH’s detailed interiors include pewter, antique wood and leather. Ownership’s goal is that La Belle Helene will be used for a first date, business lunch, special family occasion, or an impromptu everyday gathering with friends.
The full restaurant will be 6,922 square feet — spanning 4,005 in the dining room/bar area and 2,917 in the kitchen. La Belle Helene will have 166 seats including 4 private dining rooms (each with a table of 10) and 16 bar seats.
Why is it going to be so good looking?
La Belle Helene will be a showcase for potential catering clients for its parent company — Elior North America/STARR Catering Group. LBH is Elior’s second retail concept in Charlotte; they also operate the tastefully designed Parliament Espresso and Coffee Bar that recently opened in the same building Uptown.
“Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. with new residents and businesses now calling it home. Elior is committed to being an integral part of the local community and sharing our passion for creating unique culinary experiences,” said Brian Poplin, President and CEO of Elior North America shared with the Agenda. “We chose to open a French brasserie here to bring something new to the city, and to create an inviting space with a classic and approachable menu.”
