The holiday season is right around the corner…and so are the holiday parties. Looking to find the perfect spot for to host that office party, family gathering or ugly sweater party? Check out this guide of local venues for every vibe.
The Asbury
235 N. Tryon St
Two private spaces upstairs — one large (seats 60), one small (seats 10 to 12). Lunch and dinner. $55 per person for a plated dinner.
Dilworth Tasting Room
704 E. Tremont Ave.
You can do private parties on the patio and some inside. There is still availability in the month of December, but the weekends are filling up fast. Event packages are $30, $40 or $50 per person. Email booking@dilworthtr.com to make your reservation.
Fran’s Filling Station
2410 Park Rd.
There’s still some availability, although December 13 is completely booked. The private room seats about 38, plus there’s party space in the tap room. Lunch ranges from $12 to $20, or $20-$25 and up for a buffet. Fran’s is open to parties looking to rent out the entire restaurant.
Ink n Ivy
222 S. Church St.
Availability on weekday and weekends. Reservations only available for parties of 20 or more; the heated patio can handle 100 or more. Prices vary depending on the day of the week and the guest count.
Legion Brewing South Park
5610 Carnegie Blvd.
Perfect for local beer lovers who also want an elevated food menu and private dining rooms with. Choose from three private rooms, including the Capitol Room (seating for 100 guests, or 140 cocktail style), the Tower Room (seating for 50, or 80 cocktail style) and The Mezz (holds 150 cocktail style). Contact Legion Brewing for specific pricing based on your party size and type.
Fahrenheit
222 S. Caldwell St.
Availability is limited right now, but it’s more open the week before Christmas. Several spaces can handle from 10 to 140 people seated; a cocktail party can hold 200 people standing. Dinner only, but private luncheons can be booked. Plates range from $30 for lunch to $75 to $110 for dinner. Email bookings@fahrenheit-charlotte.com to reserve.
Merchant & Trade
303 S. Church St.
Reserve a portion of the rooftop or the entire roof, which includes an indoor bar/lounge, outdoor terrace, private terrace and the lawn overlooking Romare Bearden Park. Accommodates anywhere from 5 – 250 guests. Contact Merchant & Trade for pricing based on what portion of the rooftop you’re interested in renting.
Queen Park Social
4125 Yancey Rd.
For the group that’s looking for a fun, untraditional venue for a holiday party: this is the spot for bowling, games, cocktails and shareable food. Available 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. Contact Queen Park Social regarding the size of your party and which area of the club you’d be interested in hosting your party.
Reid’s Fine Foods, SouthPark
4331 Barclay Downs Dr.
This venue is ideal for hosting a private, intimate party with hors d’oeuvres paired with their very own selection. The Wine Room seats up to 25 people. An hors d’oeuvres and cocktail party ranges from $40 to $80 per person; dinners are $65 to $95 per person.
Vivace
1100 Metropolitan Ave.
The chef’s table seats up to 12, the bar area can hold 50 and the private room can seat up to 60. The private dining room runs $35, $45 or $55 per person (with other cocktail, appetizer and buffet options available).
