Here are 18 restaurants that will be open on Thanksgiving – plus some that are taking to-go orders

If the idea of cooking for and cleaning up after about a dozen relatives doesn’t sound appetizing to you, try one of these Charlotte restaurants for a Thanksgiving feast instead.

5Church: They’re serving a three-course meal with options like butternut squash bisque, brined and roasted turkey, blackberry peppercorn glazed smoked ham and s’mores trifle. It’ll cost you $45 per adult and $20 for kids; there’s an up-charge for scallops and fillet mignon. For $15, you can make it a wine pairing. The special is from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Big Ben Pub: You can get a three-course meal with turkey or roast beef ($29.95) as the main dish or roast lamb ($31.095). It costs $13.95 for kids under 12. Call 704-817-9697 for reservations.

BLT Steak: This family-style meal at The Ritz is $80 per head ($40 for kids) and includes a ton of tasty food, like roasted organic turkey with pecan stuffing, cranberry-orange sauce and rosemary gravy. There are still open spots between 2:30-8 p.m. Groups of 10 or more should call 704-972-4380, but smaller parties can make reservations online.

Charlotte Marriott SouthPark: They’re doing a brunch buffet with a mix of Thanksgiving foods and breakfast items from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. and costs $35 per person. Call 704-364-8220 for reservations.

Chima Brazilian Steakhouse: So nice, Chima’s hosting Thanksgiving twice. Dinner includes the classics like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and more. The cost $56.90 per person. The restaurant is open noon to 8 p.m. on Nov. 22  and 5:30-10 p.m. Nov. 23. Reservations.

Del Friscos’s Double Eagle Steakhouse: There are spots open from noon to 8 p.m. Thanksgiving day. And at $49 per person, the menu includes three-course, prix fixe menu with traditional Turkey Day favorites like slow-roasted turkey will all the trimmings and pumpkin cheesecake. Epic Chophouse: From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a Thanksgiving menu offering things like their smoked and braised pork barbecue baked mac and cheese. It’ll cost $29.94 per person, $10.95 for kids ages 5-12 and is free for kids 4 and under. Reservations.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse: They’re offering a three-course Thanksgiving meal for $42 a person ($19 for kids) or you can order from the full regular menu.  There are a limited amount of reservations left.

Gallery Restaurant at The Ballantyne: There will be carving stations, salad, dessert, live music and more for a Thanksgiving Bounty. Cost is $95 for adults and $40 for kids 5-12; a 24 percent service fee is also charged. Make a reservation online.

Harper’s: They’ll have a huge Thanksgiving dinner menu, including traditional favorites like ham, turkey, cornbread stuffing, squash casserole and more. The cost is $32 for adults and $15 for kids under 12. 704-366-6688

Mimosa Grill: Enjoy a Southern-style Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $44.95 for adults and $15.95 for kids under 12. Call 704-343-0700 to make a reservation.

New South Kitchen & Bar: For $35, you can enjoy a traditional turkey feast, including deep-fried turkey with all the fixings. Seating is available 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Reservations.

Oak Steakhouse: Enjoy a prix fixe menu with Thanksgiving classics like turkey, butternut squash bisque and pumpkin cheesecake, served from noon to 8 p.m. The cost is $42 and you can call 704-954-8900 to reserve a table.

The Palm: The Thanksgiving menu includes a salad or bisque for starters, turkey with a side for the main course and dessert. Cost is $55 for adults, $24 for kids under 12. Reservations.

Ruth’s Chris Uptown, SouthPark: Ruth’s Chris Thanksgiving Feast starts a noon and it’ll cost $39.95 per person. Reservations.

Stoke: This restaurant will have a family-style feast that’ll cost you $60 per person and $25 kids under 10; it’s free for kids under 3. For dessert you’ll get a one-pound donut to share that’s topped with pumpkin cream, spiced pecans and cinnamon sugar. Seatings are at noon, 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.  Call 704-353-6005 to reserve a spot.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse: For $39 you’ll be able to order from the Thanksgiving menu or you can opt for something off of the regular menu. Parties with 12 people or more should look into private dining, and smaller parties can still snag a reservation.

Vivace: For adults, $35 gets you access to a Thanksgiving buffet, including 10 sides, carving stations and a handful of desserts to choose from; cost is $15 for kids 12 and under. The buffet is open noon to 6 p.m. Reservations.

Rather host at home? These eateries offer Turkey Day take-home options.

The Capital Grille: You can get a plate to go with slow roasted turkey, butter brioche stuffing, cranberry and pear chutney, French green beans with marcona almonds and mashed potatoes for $42 per person or order from the dinner and dessert menus. All orders need to be placed and pre-paid by 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21. Call 704.348.1400 to place your order and schedule a pick-up time.

La Belle Helene: For $275 you can get a 6- to 8-person feast complete with turkey, Brioche Dinner Rolls, Haricot Verts Amondine, Pommes Purée, Cranberry and Orange Chutney, Brussels Sprouts Aux Lardons, Cornbread and Sage Stuffing, Pumpkin Charlotte and Pecan Caramel Tarts. Mert’s: Pre-order a 10- to 13-pound fried turkey for $65. You can schedule pickup between 8 a.m. and noon on Thanksgiving day.

Midwood Smokehouse: You can order a whole smoked turkey for $70, plus a variety of other sides and desserts for additional costs. Order must be placed by Sunday, Nov. 18 and picked up Nov. 21. Details.

Mimosa Grill: Turkeys on the Run is their to-go Thanksgiving option which includes starters, turkey and ham, sides and dessert for $34.95 per person (must order a minimum of four) with a 20 percent fee added to each order. Orders should by placed by noon on Saturday, Nov. 17. Details.

New South Kitchen & Bar: You can order turkey, sides and desserts to be picked up Thanksgiving morning. Turkey orders have to be in by Friday, Nov. 16 and sides and desserts should be ordered by Nov. 19. Details.

Reid’s Fine Foods: They’re offering a huge Thanksgiving menu with turkey, hams, desserts, sides, breakfast items and more. Place your orders by Friday, Nov. 16 and pickup between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Nov. 20-21. Call 704-995-0108 (SouthPark) or 704-995-1221 (Myers Park).

Ruth’s Chris: They’re doing their creamed spinach and sweet potato casserole sides to go. One dish costs $29.95 and can feed 10-12 people.
