The Ballston restaurant will be Chopt’s first location designed explicitly to have a reduced environmental impression, the company said.

ARLINGTON, VA — Chopt, the fast salad chain, will be opening a new location in Ballston Exchange this summer that will have a “new sustainable restaurant design,” the company said Monday.

The new restaurant, at 4201 Wilson Blvd., is scheduled to open in June. It will be Chopt‘s 10th location in Virginia and second one in Arlington. Its other Arlington location is in Rosslyn at 1735 N. Lynn Street.

The Ballston restaurant will be Chopt’s first location designed explicitly to have a reduced environmental impression, the company said. The restaurant will have an energy efficient HVAC system, smaller spatial footprint, energy efficient kitchen wares, and streamlined operations.
