Comal Taco Co. will begin dishing up its Southwestern flavors tomorrow.

That fast-casual taco joint is the latest to join the lineup at Optimist Hall, at 1115 N. Brevard St. It has taken over the former Marina’s Tapas food stall.

Restaurateur Shang Skipper has teamed up with chef-partner Andres Kaifer — behind Marina’s and Customshop — on that venture. Kaifer will design the menus, provide oversight and consult for Comal.

“The fun part of this is creating something from scratch and seeing it come to life,” Skipper says.
