A new public-private initiative led by The United Way of Greater Charlotte will distribute nearly $1 million to contractors throughout Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. The local organization’s “A Home For All” program is facilitating $900,000 in funding from U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB), Mecklenburg County and the city of Charlotte to be used to launch and execute its contractor assistance program. The program provides funding and support for small or growth-stage local businesses doing critical home repairs for low- to moderate-income homeowners, said Anna London, president and CEO of Charlotte Works.
