The owners of Sol’ Delish, a Black-owned restaurant in University City, will open a second location this spring.
The new restaurant will be inside a 4,700-square-foot space at the University City boardwalk — a space formerly occupied by Ciro’s Italian Restaurant. The new site will be more than twice the size of Sol’ Delish’s current restaurant at 9211 N. Tryon St.
Owners Mac Stephenson and Latell Brice said the bigger space is needed to accommodate their growing customer base.
“We need to make a move while the wave is really rising,’” Stephenson told QCity Metro.
Brice and Stephenson said their original location, opened in July 2023, would remain open for take-out only.
