Blinders, the sports lounge with a gigantic screen, will open its doors this spring.

The 5,500-square-foot interior will seat 160, and the heated 1,500-square-foot patio will seat 50. The showpiece of the venue will be the screen, which the team believes to be the largest on the East Coast (outside a stadium or casino).

Blinders will have the viewing experience of a sportsbook, energy of a sports bar and attention to detail found at a cocktail lounge. The lounge is under development at 225 W. Tremont Ave.

Blinders will feature a larger-than-life $1.5 million AV viewing experience, inviting guests to feel like more than just spectators and a part of the action.

The screen measures nearly 60 feet wide and 15 feet tall, totaling almost 850 square feet of 4K display. To offer the most pristine and clear viewing experience, the screen will sit eight feet off the ground with a 10-degree tilt toward the bar, with the entire structure weighing 10,000 pounds. The lounge will also feature a state-of-the-art sound system.

Various seating options will be available, ensuring the perfect vantage points for optimal viewing. Indoors, there will be a bar area for first-come, first-serve guests and banquette boxes for reservations. The bar is purposely positioned lower than the rest of the lounge to offer incredible views. The banquette seating will provide guests with a more plush and comfortable option and can fit up to 18 people per section. For the fair-weather fans, the patio will have multiple televisions to keep tabs on games from outside.

The idea of the lounge began over two years ago, as the development team had to repurpose the building, which was originally a manufacturing facility in the 1950s.

Specific menu details, hiring information, and hours will be announced closer to opening. Media interviews are available upon request.
