Life’s been quite a journey — through the military, motherhood, breast cancer and running a spa, it hasn’t always been easy, but through it all, I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to be successful, healthy and happy.
My transition from the clinical world of medicine to the nurturing realm of holistic wellness wasn’t just a career shift, it was a personal calling. I’ve come to understand the intricate knowledge of how the body works and an even deeper knowledge of the impact it can have in the present moment and the long run. I realized that healing transcends the physical and tending to the spirit is just as important.
My battle with breast cancer was a defining moment in my journey, a stark reminder of life’s fragility and the impact our busy day-to-day lives can have on our physical health. I wholeheartedly believe that stress is what made me susceptible to this disease. Doing a million things at once, trying to be the best I could be for my family and my staff, but in the end, it catapulted me into one of the biggest fights of my life.
