A Juneteenth arts festival will take place on June 19 at the Shoppes at University Place Lakefront.

The festival, which will aim to educate others on the history and cultural significance of Juneteenth, will be held from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m.

Juneteenth marks the end of slavery in the United States.

Cultural significance will be showcased through African American art exhibits, activities, live painting, food, music and live performances that attendees can enjoy and learn from.
