On Jan. 1, 2024, at 10 a.m., Charlotte will hold a New Year’s Day 5k. The 5k start line is at the Shoppes at University Palace and ends on Robert D. Snyder Road on UNC Charlotte’s campus. 

The 5k event supports the University City Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to help develop and advance the community and create new locations in the University City market area.
