The highly anticipated, Zeppelin, an upscale restaurant featuring inspired seasonal food and handcrafted cocktails, will open December 26 at 235 W. Tremont Ave.
The dinner-only restaurant is located right next to Bang Bang Burger’s sister concept, Bang Bang Bites, and the new Common Market South End. Here, you can expect small plates, large plates, craft cocktails, wine, beer and local charcuterie and cheeses.
Vince Giancarlo, former chef de cuisine and executive chef at Mama Ricotta’s, corporate executive chef at Cantina 1511 Park Road and executive chef of BAKU, is the executive chef at Zeppelin.
“We’re not white tablecloth,” Giancarlo said. “We’ll be serving upscale food and drink in a very eclectic and laid back environment. I don’t want it to feel stuffy or that we’re better than anybody.”
Another familiar name, Larry Suggs, formerly of the Punch Room and Duckworth’s The Cellar, will supply guests with intricate cocktails and beverages with homemade syrups, infusions and barrel-aging in collaboration with Giancarlo.
“We’re pulling the same mentality that’s in the kitchen to the bar, where it’s very ingredient-focused and fresh-driven,” Giancarlo said, whose restaurant name references the early 1900s balloon-like gas-filled aircraft.
The Queen City-inspired, steampunk atmosphere occupies a 2,300 square foot space with an outside patio, stretching 750 square feet along the West Tremont Avenue corridor.
Zeppelin will be open Tuesday through Sunday, from 5 p.m. – 2 a.m. The restaurant will host a grand opening party on January 5.
For those wanting to switch jobs in the New Year, Zeppelin is still hiring.
