Chopt Creative Salad Co. will open its second Long Island location next week.
The fast-casual restaurant chain is opening its newest location at 1606 Marcus Ave. in New Hyde Park on Friday, Dec. 8. Chopt’s first Long Island restaurant opened in Woodbury in Feb. 2016.
As part of its grand opening celebration, Chopt will open from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 for its local charity initiative. During those hours, all customers make a monetary donation to its charitable partner Long Island Cares will receive a free salad, according to a company statement.
“We’re excited to grow our presence on Long Island with this second location,” Colin McCabe, Chopt co-founder, said in the statement. “We look forward to sharing our passion for healthy, flavorful eating with our New Hyde Park neighbors.”
Founded in New York City in 2001 by McCabe and Tony Shure, Chopt now has more than 50 restaurants in New York, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.
