As Charlotte City Council crafts a budget for the next fiscal year, one item on its agenda could impact the future of University City.
University City Partners, a nonprofit that promotes economic development, has asked the council to expand the boundary of its municipal service district (MSD). It also seeks permission to raise the property tax for businesses and property owners within the MSD.
