The Charlotte region expanded its restaurant offerings in May, with several areas getting in on the action.

Starting in center city, uptown last month added a pasta house and a tavern dishing up contemporary American cuisine and craft cocktails. Italo has replaced Venetian-inspired wine bar Cicchetti at Bank of America Corporate Center, while Packard Tavern moved into the old Bar One Lounge space at Packard Place.
