Craving a latte just like the baristas make it in your favorite coffee shop? If only you had the skills …
While you’re sitting around your house during the coronavirus, staying home to stop community spread, you’ve probably decided a quarantine hobby might be a good idea. If you’re a coffee lover, we’d suggest this one from Charlotte-based Coffee Roaster Pure Intentions Coffee might be a great idea.
The local roaster has launched “Skills Campus Online,” with live and interactive classes that will dive into espresso, latte art and coffee origins. The 90-minute classes will be taught by Pure Intentions’ resident coffee expert and authorized Specialty Coffee Association trainer, Brady Butler.
“The stay-at-home order has challenged us to change our previous model of in-person education to meet people where they are: at home,” Pure Intentions Founder Matt Yarmey told CharlotteFive. “The Skills Campus Online is a transition of education as one of our core values to continue providing learning opportunities during challenging times; we needed to adapt to maintain a focus on it and give people a way to learn in a new way. We know that online classes are attractive now and will continue to be in the future as people adapt to a more digital lifestyle.”
You don’t have to be a coffee snob to sign up — classes are offered for anyone who is interested to learn more. They cost $30 each or you can splurge for the bundles that include coffee, private sessions and more.
