Chopt Creative Salad Company, a NYC-based farm-to-fast-casual concept, is opening seven units this year in Georgia, Virginia and Maryland.

“We’ve learned a lot about how to map out our brand growth over 20 years,” Chopt co-founder Colin McCabe said in a company press release. “The Southern region is special because it’s highly residential and family-driven, and there’s a big need for fast casual options that are high quality, convenient, and flavorful. Our continued expansion in the Southeast is also partially in response to our guests’ requests for us to come to their area and we’re happy to oblige.”

Founded in in 2001 by best friends Tony Shure and McCabe, has over 70 restaurants in New York, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Tennessee, Connecticut, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina.
