The salad-based “fast-casual” restaurant chain, Chopt, will open it’s second New Jersey location in Princeton on Tuesday, the company announced.

The new location at Princeton Shopping Center will seat more than 60 people and have an outdoor patio area.

CEO Nick Marsh is a Princeton alumnus and said the company’s co-founders were inspired by their own college eating experiences when creating a company based around healthy options.

Here are the restaurant chains that are continuing to expand their footprints in New Jersey.

“It feels great to now have the opportunity to share our passion for innovative, flavorful and healthy eating with both the local Princeton community and my alma mater,” Marsh said in the statement.

Before the doors officially open, diners will have a chance to try a meal for free on Monday between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., if they make a donation to Suppers Programs, a local nonprofit that focuses on healthy lifestyles.

Starting Tuesday, Chopt will be open between 10:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. daily.
